Modern society is experiencing a period of rapid and significant change, driven by factors such as the multi-polarization and fragmentation of the international community amid growing geopolitical risks, rising prices caused by surging raw material costs, and the advancement of digital technologies.
In these rapidly changing times, not only our daily lives, but also the values and frameworks of society are changing at an unprecedented pace.
In any such changes in the environment, what we have always valued is our founding principle of “Harmony among People, Technology, and the Environment; In pursuit of endless possibilities.” With this unwavering core principle in mind, and building upon the business foundation we have established through our previous Medium-Term Management Plan, we have formulated a new Medium-Term Management Plan starting in FY2026.
In formulating the new Medium-Term Management Plan, we re-examined the ideal vision of the Group and established three new Long-Term Visions: “Creating new value in acetylene, building on the cylinder gas business as a foundation;” “Pursuing the possibilities of environmentally friendly adhesives and paints through enhanced functionality and applications development;” and “A corporate group that continues to be chosen for its people and technology.”
Using these Long-Term Visions as our starting point and applying a back-casting approach, we developed our new Medium-Term Management Plan under the theme, “Extending the branches of growth and creating the future.” The Plan is based on three pillars: “Maximizing the cylinder gas business and commercializing carbon nanotubes and normal pressure smart carburizing;” “Developing overseas markets for adhesives and paints by enhancing domestic production and expanding exports and Vietnam operations;” and “Building a foundation for growth through enhanced human resources development and personnel programs,” and we aim to achieve each of the management indicators set forth in the Plan.
While valuing and nurturing the unwavering management foundation of “Safety, Security, and Trust” and the long-term relationships of trust that we have built together with our stakeholders over our long history, our officers and employees will continue to work together to boldly take on new challenges without fear of change, and find new opportunities for growth within those changes, even amidst a rapidly evolving business environment.
Going forward, we will continue to do what is right with sincerity, and diligently build on the basics as we work to achieve sustainable growth and enhance our corporate value in our aim to be a corporate group that is needed by society and earns the trust of our stakeholders.
